Tune of the Week #77 Hacienda Motel

Pickwick2I usually ride with music playing on a Scala Rider bluetooth setup (what can I say I like having a soundtrack). Every week I post a song from my personal playlist. It runs the gamut from old school to tunes released this year and in nearly every genre. It’s an eclectic mix but I’m sure there’s something for everyone.

This weeks playlist pick is a live version of Hacienda Motel by Seattle based rock band Pickwick from their debut album Can’t Talk Medicine (2013). The title and song refer to the place where the great Sam Cooke was killed. His last words reportedly were “lady you shot me“. Great band with a sound reminiscent of The Black Keys and Sam Cooke himself.
