Here’s a map of the entire Dakar course. Today is Stage 3. Looks like Coma (Spain) and Despres (France) (both on KTMs) are picking up right where they left off last year. Sadly American Jonah Street who finished 14th overall last year has withdrawn due to mechanical problems.
The rally also saw it’s first tragedy as 38 year old Argentinian motorcyclist Jorge Boero lost his life in Stage 1 due to what I understand is a cardiac arrest after a crash at 55km.
