Gina Carano, former MMA fighter (now retired from fighting), stars as Mallory Kane a betrayed spy bent on revenge in Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh’s (Traffic, Oceans 11 & 12) new action-thriller “Haywire“. I’ve seen trailers of the film and there are a few scenes involving a motorcycle. Turns out she did all the bike work herself aboard a Ducati Monster 696 (one of my dream bikes along with a Triumph Speed Triple and a few dozen others). The film also stars Ewan McGreggor, Channing Tatum, Michael Fassbender and Michael Douglas. It got some bad press when it was revealed that Carano’s voice was altered for the whole movie but it’s gotten some good reviews. The trailer looks pretty good and a cycle in a film never hurts, especially a Duc. Haywire opens January 20th.
