Experience & Skills

I have over 20 years experience in the surveying profession as a technician and party chief. I also spent 2 years designing Toro large turf (golf course) irrigation systems using AutoCAD and LandCADD.

I have authored custom Legal Description Writers and other applications for various firms throughout the country and developed office and field automation techniques using Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), AutoCAD/Land Desktop, Excel and Word.

Field to Office Automation Techniques Consulting

Consulting services in field/office automation using Softdesk/LDD and field collection techniques to create plans that are 80-90% complete upon download from the field. Line work and symbols can be created automatically at download from the field and surface creation time can be cut by 50% or greater if Softdesk/LDD and field collection techniques are synchronized. Using Softdesk or LDD you can create EVERY breakline with one command and create a surface in minutes! The entire automatic base plan process is briefly outlined in the tutorials section.

Land Desktop and VBA Training

I provide training on all version of Land Desktop as well as training in customization using VBA (on of the built in programming environments that is included with AutoCAD/Land Desktop). Training can be done at your place of business or via the web using AVI’s, web pages, Word documents, e-mail, instant messaging, FTP or over the phone.
