Zen Motorcyclist is pleased to feature an interview with adventurer, author and speaker Allan Karl (a.k.a. WorldRider). We posted a link to his Kickstarter campaign to raise money to publish his book Forks: A Quest for Culture, Cuisine and Connection. We are proud to have helped Allan meet his fundraising goal.
Allan spoke with Zen Motorcyclist contributor Henry Yampolsky about the 3 year, 35 country journey that led to the creation of the book. Forks can be pre-ordered here.
Bonus Recipes: Allan has also provided ZenMotorcyclist.com with two recipes in advance of the book release:
“This recipe is inspired by those I tried in Purmamarca, a tiny town in the Jujuy province in northern Argentina, where I discovered the “holy grail” of empanadas. These are easy to make and are great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.”
“This comfort curry, not unlike other stews, is thicker and sometimes served over Chinese egg noodles or with Indian chapati bread. I prefer steamed basmati rice, but accompany this rich flavor sensation with your preference. Serve with a cold frosty beer or a simple German Kabinett Riesling.”
